Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 with Windows 11 is officially launched

Microsoft 2020 is the successor to the Surface Laptop Go Official. The laptop comes into the market with a few upgrades while sharing a lot from its predecessor. Here's a look at the details.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2: Specs and Features

The Surface Laptop Go 2 has the same 12.4-inch PixelSense display as its predecessor. It supports a screen resolution of 1536 × 1024 pixels, an aspect ratio of 3:2, and a maximum brightness of 330 nits. The laptop is considered to be the lightest and has an aluminum chassis. It comes in a new Sage color, which was also rumored earlier. It comes with Platinum, Sandstone, and Ice Blue color options.

The laptop is powered by a Quad Core 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, which is an upgrade over the 10th Gen Intel processor in the first Surface Laptop Go. It is paired with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. The device supports up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB removable SSD.

There is support for a 720p webcam with support for dual far-field studio mics and universal speakers with Dolby Audio Premium. As for ports, there's a USB Type-C, a USB Type-A, a 3.5mm audio jack and a Microsoft Connect port like the predecessor.

The laptop guarantees 13.5 hours of battery life on a single charge and is equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth version 5.1 and runs Windows 11. Additionally, Surface Laptop Go 2 comes bundled with preloaded Microsoft 365 apps, Microsoft 365 Family 1-month trial, preloaded Xbox apps, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 1. Trial of the month.

Price and Availability

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 starts at $599.99 (~ 46,500), which is slightly more expensive than its predecessor's $549.99 starting price tag. Check out multiple configurations of laptops and their prices here.

It is now available for pre-order in the US and will launch on June 7. The business variant will be available from Nune 6. As of now, there is no word on its availability in India but it could happen next month.
