OnePlus 10T 5G "T" can mark the return of the smartphone

This year, OnePlus has changed its strategy a bit and released only one flagship, the OnePlus 10 Pro. While people are hoping for a Vanilla OnePlus 10 and even an Ultra model, a piece of recent information has dispelled this speculation. Instead, we can see the return of the "T" branded phone with the OnePlus 10T launch. What to expect here.

Renowned tipstar Max Jamber, who has a track record of providing mostly accurate OnePlus-related information, has revealed that OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 10T 5G this year and it will be the last flagship for 2022. If that happens, it will mean the re-entry of the "T" brand OnePlus phone, which died in 2020 with the OnePlus 8T.

If this information is true, it means that there may not be a OnePlus 10 or OnePlus 10 Ultra, both of which have been rumored more than once in the past. Nonetheless, at least we're getting another flagship phone from OnePlus, which will complete the "two flagships per year" rule that has been followed since the launch of the OnePlus 9 series.

We have no details on what to expect from the alleged OnePlus 10T 5G. That said, if it’s a flagship phone, we can expect it to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which was recently launched. The phone may also come in support of the company’s 150W fast charging tech, which has moved to the OnePlus 10R.

The OnePlus 10T is also expected to share some similarities with the OnePlus 10 Pro with the same camera or 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display. The design may be the same, but OnePlus tweaked this aspect last time (remember how the OnePlus 8 series and 8T looked different?), A design change may also be in the pipeline.
