A recent report from 9To5Google claims that the latest estimate is that the Pixel Watch will last one day on a single charge. However, the conditions that led to this battery life were not known. We don't know if it's always on-display (AOD) enabled or if sleep tracking is on all night.
For the Wear OS standard, one day's battery life isn't really amazing. It is said that Fossil General 6 could last one day. With the above-mentioned capabilities including GPS on, it can easily be the standard battery life for most smartwatches.
However, the surprising and rather disappointing part is that the Google Pixel Watch may not come with its "fast charging via magnetic to USB-C cable." It is expected to take about 110 minutes to fully charge, which is a long wait. For reference, the Apple Watch Series 7 can be charged from 0 to 80% in about 45 minutes.
The Pixel Watch will be backed by a large 300mAh battery and it can last between 24 and 48 hours. It remains to be seen whether these assumptions will be true or change at launch.
For other expectations, Google's first smartwatch could come with a four-year-old Exynos 9110 chip and a co-processor to streamline performance. It is also said to be equipped with 2GB or more RAM and 32GB storage, which is a lot more.
Health-tracking features like heart rate monitor and slips tracking have been confirmed, while there is a SpO2 tracker and more. Also, we already know the design, which includes a round dial and a non-stop integration of the straps. The timeline for the Pixel Watch launch this fall, along with the Pixel 7 series but an exact date is unknown. So, stay tuned for more updates like this on the watch, and be sure to share your thoughts about its battery life in the comments below.
