Moto G42, Moto G62 Launched With 50MP Triple Rear Camera

After recently launching the Moto G82 globally and in India, Motorola has now launched two new Moto G phones in Brazil, the Moto G42 and the Moto G62. These are budget smartphones that look like the latest Moto G phones, with 50MP triple rear cameras and more. Here are the details to know.

Moto G42: Specs and Features

The Moto G42 is the successor to the Moto G41 and comes with Motorola's current favorite design: a vertical rear camera hump and a centrally placed punch-hole screen. It sports a 6.4-inch G-OLED Full HD+ display that supports a 20:9 aspect ratio and a traditional 60Hz refresh rate.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset, with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be further expanded via a memory card. The camera department has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera, with a 16MP camera up front for selfies.

The Moto G42 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging and if that's a bummer for you, the good thing is that it runs near stock Android 12. Additional details include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port, NFC support, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. It misses out on 5G though. The Moto G42 comes in Rose and Blue colors.

Moto G62: Specs and Features

On the other hand, the Moto G62 is a 5G-enabled device. It retains the same design as the Moto G42 but comes in different color variants, Graphite, namely, and Green.

There is a 6.5-inch IPS display with a Full HD+ screen resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 480+ SoC with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It supports expandable storage via a memory card. The camera configuration and battery are similar to the Moto G42.

Moto G62 5G runs Android 12 and supports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, NFC, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and more.

Price and Availability

Motorola has not revealed pricing and availability details for both the Moto G42 and Moto G62 5G. We hope these details will be released soon and we will be sure to update this article.

We also don't know when these phones will be launched in other markets including India. Considering that Motorola has adopted a strategy of launching multiple phones at short intervals, these phones may soon reach India as well. We will update you on this. So, stay with this space.
