Samsung may drop the Galaxy Watch Classic!

According to a recent report by 9to5Google, apart from updating the Galaxy Watch 4 recently, Samsung has also pushed a beta update for the Samsung Health app, which has a version number of 6.22.0.069. While the update doesn't add any new features to the app, it does add support for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro smartwatches.

Now, it is worth noting that there is no mention of the Galaxy Watch 5 Classic in the Samsung Health app. Maybe, Samsung might discontinue the Galaxy Watch Classic series with the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5 series.

Moreover, as highlighted by 9to5Google, the Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro placeholder images (which appear next to each model) use a representation of the Galaxy Watch 4. This could mean that the Galaxy Watch 5 series could come with a sporty design, much like its predecessor.

Other than that, however, not much is currently known about the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 series. However, some reports suggest that Samsung may remove the rotating bezel on its upcoming smartwatches and integrate a thermometer sensor and improve the battery. It is expected to come with a sapphire glass and titanium build, which could lead to an expensive price tag. The new Galaxy Watch 5 series is expected to launch in August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 phones.

That said, confirmed details are still awaited. So, stay tuned for more updates, and let us know your thoughts on the possible removal of the Galaxy Watch Classic series in the comments below.
